No one beats Ulrich Schnauss- I could listen to him every day and never get sick of him.

I agree with Andy, Pelican are excellent working music, along with Mono, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Red Sparowes and Tarentel.

Nice list – I’ve never really heard any of this stuff, except for Dire Straits. Been meaning to check out Sigur Ros for a while, but I always forget. You should check out Pelican – they’re an instrumental metal band, and one of the only bands I can listen to while I’m working. Most everything else distracts me because my simple mind only processes one thing at a time.
