Guinness Book’s Top 50 Console Games

It looks like our old friend Guinness has decided to step away from the seven-foot-long fingernails for a second, and try his luck quantifying video games.

Respectfully, sir, I think I speak for all gamers when I say- stay the hell away.  Your list is contaminated with fail.

For example, the #1 game of all time?  Super Mario Kart.  Yes, racing Yoshi in Donut Plains is apparently as good as it gets for us gamers.  Can’t… beat… that.  And you’ll have to hit the jump to find Super Mario Bros, as it’s well out of the top ten.  

I also contend that Grand Theft Auto III is the game that changed everything, not its much older bro GTA1.  And the fact that Super Smash Bros and Shadow of the Colossus didn’t even make the list, while Sega Rally Championship and Outrun 2 did is just beyond me.
