In the trenches!

So clearly, we have entered some sort of Autumn-like season, even though I have a feeling, that it’s only going to last for about six or seven days before we’re waist-deep in snow. It’s part of my theory that this country, and most of this world, will soon be reduced to two seasons. But that’s another post. But when this kind of weather comes blowing leaves around (If you live in New York, go to the park. Leaves are falling!) one who is in the least bit conscious of style, and image, (which is a more masculine way of saying fashion) will be searching for a piece of outerwear.

Well, lucky for all you readers out there, we all aren’t JUST a bunch of art geeks here at popten. I got what you need. What…a trenchcoat! The trench is pretty much a fall staple. It’s as classic if not more classic than a peacoat. A three-quarter length trench looks dope with jeans, a sharp pant, a t-shirt, sweater, polo, tie, whatever! Hell, wear it bare-chested if you’re really gangsta! You can tie the belt, or let it hang. You can wear it open, or closed. Buttoned all the way up, or leave the lapels showing. COME ON!! They are awesome!

Who makes the best trench? Simple. Burberry. They’ve pretty much specialized in trench coats for years! They are mavens of the cut, and length, and even have it in other fall colors.

I could go on, but I already feel a little strange. So I think I’m gonna go put my trench on, and go outside and snag me some ladies! (Ohhhhh yeahhh.)

British army officers were the original badasses…

  2. Whoa…did not know that! But that definitely explains, why they are the best makers of the trench…

I just literally got up (which is kind of embarrassing because I’m not wearing shoes, but I hide that fact under my desk) and looked out the window at Central Park to see if the leaves are changing…. the tops of trees are still pretty green, tomorrow they’ll probably be bare.
I love my trench, it’s from Old Navy $38 at an outlet store! Woohoo recession ’09!

Mine makes me look like a spy, I’m wearing it with a black turtleneck today.
