There is a new search engine competitor coming out on the market, but he’s not touting the usual fanfare. In fact his blog kind of states that this tiny search query machine is in fact something much more complicated.
Very simply: You ask it a question, and it spits out an answer.
With a traditional search engine you get a bunch of results of where to find the information on the internet. With Wolfram you get inferred knowledge. Which means that the computer is doing some of the leg work. Which means in the beholden language of Arney, “my CPU is a neural net processor, a learning computer”. Not only that but we can seemingly speak in slang, and it will still grasp at what we’re getting at. Visions of ‘Space Odyssey’ and ‘I, Robot’ fill my mind.
