Nothing makes me happier than introducing a new PopTen writer, especially one as wildly talented as Lynne Desilva-Johnson.
Lynne’s one of those many-hat-wearers: an English professor at City College who’s working on her PhD in Cultural Anthropology, and a journalist who’s been published all over the place, as well as an assistant editor for 306090 Magazine, Lynne does it all. But mostly does it with words. Because I’m in love with the bio she wrote elsewhere, I’ll share it with you. A better introduction than I could ever make…
Brooklyn native, of late absconded to the Hudson Valley in search of blessed unrest by the shores of the river that flows both ways. Will have a sailing license sooner than a driver’s one. Has a tendency for costume, soup in all seasons, and scavenging for fiddlehead ferns. Deep believer in citizen journalism. All around gadabout, tortured/reticent academic, teacher of writing and philosophy to undergrads at CCNY, prefers pin-striped man pajamas, likes hats and typesetting.
