1. Wanted Dead of Alive – Bon Jovi
Who could defeat the amazing guitar work of Richie Sambora, lead guitarist of the 80s rock band Bon Jovi? The cowboy inspired song begins rather subdued before erupting into a blast of amazing guitar work. Wanted Dead or Alive is from the 1986 album Slippery When Wet, which also features some of the band’s other well known songs including Living on a Prayer and Shot Through the Heart. It was the first hard rock album to have 3 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. The song reflects Jon Bon Jovi’s admiration for Old West heroes and how he relates to them, being hated by some people but loved by others, hence wanted dead or alive.
